Curtis Loyd Williams passed away on September 9, 2021, in Sandy, Utah, at the age of 92.

He was born on November 29, 1928, in Hughes, Oklahoma to Frank Martin & Virgie Mae Crump Williams

He married Loretta Williams on June 03, 1948. Celebrated 72 years of marriage until Loretta's passing in July of 2020.

Curtis was a devoted Husband, Father, and Grand Parent. A faithful man of our Lord and Member of the Church of Christ.

He proudly served in the Army for our Country. He loved the United States and traveled to almost every corner and state of the U.S.

Hobbies and joys included extensive travel. Loved reading all subjects, especially reading of historic events and being a Civil War buff. Visited almost every battle site of our countries Civil war. He was quite the Jokester… Love to hear and tell jokes. Truly believed that laughter was the best medicine.

Curtis was a tremendous "Foodie". Enjoyed his roots of Southern cooking and there was never a bad hamburger or hotdog that couldn't be eaten.

Curtis was a gracious and humble man that was raised during the depression, worked hard to become a successful Exploration Executive in the Oil and Gas industry. He loved his "Oily's as he called his friends, team, and his counterparts. He would always say, "I am a Proud "Oliy" myself. Curtis drilled for oil and gas throughout the Western, Midwest, and Eastern U.S. as well as offshore oceans and seas.

Loretta was and is the love of his life along with his two sons Rod and Gregg. He was dedicated to his family.

He is survived by his sons, Rod and Gregg. Grandson Jacob. Daughter-n-laws, Lisa & Pam. Brothers, Fred and Stan Williams and Sister Janie Willingham, and Extended Family Members who loved him so very much.

Preceded in death by his father, Frank Williams, mother Virgie Williams, brother Kenneth, and sisters, Cledith and Carolyn.

Graveside services will be on September 16, 2021, ~ 12:00 pm at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South). A viewing will be held from 11:00 am – 11:45 am prior to the graveside. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens in the Garden of Everlasting Life.
