Pauline Edwards, "The Hummingbird," July 9, 1943-April 22, 2017, was a devoted wife of Lionel "Heffalump" Edwards. Polly was a graduate with a Bachelor of Arts from The Catholic University of America as well as a student at Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Polly was an art teacher in Washington, D.C., an exceptionally talented artist, a lover of people, the beach and sunrises. Living up to her motto of "Stay Curious" she was a flamenco and belly dancer, a painter, an entertainment clown and a potter among so many other interests. Polly loved her husband, family and friends, especially Robert Hensley, who was devoted to her before and throughout her hospice journey. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ayla's Acres No-Kill Animal Rescue, 142 King St., St. Augustine, FL 32084. Polly is survived by six siblings, three brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, three nephews and three nieces. A memorial service will take place in Polly's birthday month of July.
