Mr. Bayless died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, at a Snyder care center.

Inurnment will be under direction of Becker Funeral Home of Snyder.

He was born Sept. 6, 1950, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was raised in Roosevelt and attended schools there. He joined the Army and served in Vietnam. He worked in custom harvesting, did some work in the oilfields, and worked on construction of Tom Steed Lake Dam and Reservoir.

Survivors include five sisters: Betty Barnes and husband, James, Roosevelt; Doris Samples, Cold Springs Community; Pat Buckner, Snyder; and Beverly Nuckols and Linda Cook, both of Athens, Texas; three brothers: Glen Brazil, Roosevelt; Danny Barker, Athens, Texas; and Bobby Armstrong, Port Charlotte, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Anna Armstrong.
