Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was a son of the late Davis and Ethel Gray Lynch. He was a graduate of North Greenville University, Furman University, and the Southeastern Theological Seminary. He served in the United States Navy, and fought in the Korean War. Rev. Lynch was a pastor for many years and a faithful Christian servant who led many to Christ. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, David Timothy Lynch and wife Sharon, granddaughters; Christine Lynch Solesbee and husband Kevin, Alexandria Lynch; great-granddaughter; Kimberly Solesbee; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Rev. Lynch was preceded in death by sons; John Morgan "Skip" Lynch, Jr., Robert "Bobby" Percy Lynch, grandson; Robert "Robby" Percy Lynch, Jr., one sister; Carolyn Lynch Hammett, and a brother; J.D. Lynch.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Northbrook Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Benny Green. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00pm at the church. Interment will follow at Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens.
