Patricia "Patty" Decker, 72, of New London, died Sunday, August 1, 2021, at her home surrounded by family. Her celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 6, at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Carris Health - Rice Hospice.

Patricia Ann Decker was born October 27, 1948, in Willmar, Minnesota, the daughter of Francis and Ursula (Grossman) Clouse. She grew up in rural Bird Island where she attended Svea School, a country school, and graduated from Bird Island High School in 1966. On July 5, 1969, she married Douglas Decker. They made their home in Olivia until 2005 when they moved to the New London area. Patty worked as a graphic designer for the Olivia Times Journal for many years and later created her own publication company, Bytes Design, which she operated until 2020. She also enjoyed floral arranging and worked part-time for Country Rose Floral in Renville and Angels & Ivy Floral in New London. Her most cherished accomplishments; however, were that as a mother, grandmother, and homemaker.

Patty was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Spicer and a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, celebrating holidays which she often hosted, and cooking. An evening of card playing or a day trip to a greenhouse was not uncommon. She had a great eye for decorating and would often lend suggestions to her friends and family. She especially enjoyed her time with her grandchildren, taking road trips with her husband, and her yearly girls' weekend with her daughters.

She is survived by her husband: Douglas; three children: Sandra (Brent) Neeser, Kimberly (Kris) Halvorson, and Jonathan Decker; and six grandchildren: Reid Neeser, Sean Neeser, Elizabeth Neeser, Abigail Halvorson, Kristina Halvorson and Oliver Halvorson. Also surviving are six siblings: Kathy (Joe) Egge , Craig Clouse (Lori Orcutt), Brian (Julie) Clouse, Victoria (Don) Kuiken, Jodi (Les) Hagen, and Kevin (Kelly) Clouse; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister: Debra Clouse.
