Ms. Teresa Thompson departed this life on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby, NC. She was born on September 10, 1965 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Robert Freeman and the late Jennie Thompson Freeman.

Teresa was a 1983 graduate of Crest High School. She was always a hard working person working various jobs including her most recent one in which she worked with disabled adults until her own health declined. She was formerly a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church and Christ For the Nations Church where she sang on the choir.

Teresa loved planting flowers and cooking. She also loved decorating and being around children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Bernard Thompson; her grandmother, Tecora Thompson Gill and her granddaughter, Deira Shanese Laborn.

She leaves her loving memory to her three daughters, Etrua Davis (Patrick), Tereka Laborn (Torrance) and Timbra Thompson; one sister, Ardra Mintz Thompson; her significant other, Fredrick Carson; her "special brother" Christopher Goolsby; five grandchildren, Travis Littlejohn, Jr., Etayoun Littlejohn, Rihanna Dorsey, Terianna Dorsey and Armani Clark; six nephews, Micheal Mintz, Jr,, Robert Freeman, II, Marion Dover, Joshua Dover, Brandon Freeman and Darrell Thompson, Jr,; four nieces, Erika Freeman, Jeronica Mintz, Maleah Goolsby and Niema Goolsby; six great nephews; five great nieces; two special aunts, Earnestine Hamrick and Yvonne Surratt; special cousins, Carolyn Haynes, Joe Gullatte, Tina Earl and Angela Earl Carson; best friends, Daphne Surratt, Valorie Brown, Debra Odoms and Betty Wilson and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Ms. Thompson will be private. She may be viewed at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM with a reception of friends from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM. The family will be meeting at 120 Kim Drive Grover, NC. Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery.
