Donald R. Chandler, 82 of Owego, NY passed away on Thursday September 16, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Root) Chandler; his sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Lori Chandler. Stephen and Jennifer Chandler; his grandchildren, Tim and Amy Chandler, Michael and Ashley Chandler, Eric Chandler, Daniel and Jordan Chandler, Marisa Chandler; his great grandchildren, Clayton, Savannah, Easton. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly and James Soos, Shirley and Arthur Vanderpool; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends.
Don was born in Hartford, CT on December 16, 1938, the son of Clyde and Helen (Waymuth) Chandler, and was one of 13 brothers and sisters. He worked for E.E. Root & Son for many years, and was an especially hard worker throughout his entire life. Family meant everything to Don, and he always cherished the time spent together with them.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday September 20, 2021 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm. A Memorial Service will begin at 6:00pm with Pastor Bob Harris officiating.
