James Wesley Whitaker, aged 79, passed away on September 17, 2021 at his home in Eupora, Mississippi surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Levi and Annie Hillhouse Whitaker.

He attended Eupora School and worked at Futorian Manufacturing Company. He enjoyed gardening and playing with Autumn, his grandchild. He would spend time with loved ones making shapes out of clouds. Special thanks are extended to his caregiver, Keisha Michelle Warren, The Grimsley Family, Melody Bensend, Legacy Hospice, Alee Burton, and his church family.

(Jennie) Whitaker of Florence, Mississippi and Buster Whitaker of Eupora, Mississippi; and three grandchildren, Daphne Whitaker, Autumn Bennett and Bryden Whitaker; and two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Whitaker of Sturgis, Mississippi and Estel Whitaker of Columbus, Mississippi.
