BROOKS Leona "Lee" Parker Boyd Brooks entered into the Lord's Kingdom on Friday, November 21, 2008 at 1:39 a.m., at the age of 81. Mrs. Brooks is survived by her husband Lawrence Brooks Sr., her brother Leonard Parker of Covington, Louisiana, her children Marie Lindsey of Killeen, Texas, Edward Boyd of Covington, Louisiana, Betty Jones, Robert Boyd and Joyce Boyd. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Ernest Boyd, Sr. husband by 1st marriage; and sons: Ernest Boyd, Jr. and William Boyd preceded her in death. Relatives and friends; pastor, officers and members of New Home Ministries, neighboring churches and employees of Civil District Clerk of Court, UPS, and Ochsner Home Health are invited to attend the Funeral Services at New Home Ministries, 1616 Carondelet Street, New Orleans, Louisiana, on Saturday, November 29, at 12:15 p.m., Reverend Samuel Blakes, Pastor-officiating.
