Edith Jean Sparks, age 84, Erwin, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Erwin Health Care Center. She was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late Lewie J. McIntyre and Eva Mae Holcomb Beals.
Edith was a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Eugene Sparks on February 14, 2016; her stepfather, Alvin Beals; three brothers; one sister; several brothers in-law and sisters-in-law.
Edith leaves behind to cherish her memory, one son, Dennis James Sparks, of Erwin; one sister, Irebelle Patterson, of Columbus, OH; three sisters-in-law: Patsy Sparks, Alice Sparks, and Berdi Sparks all of Erwin; two special nephews: Steven (Tanya) Sparks and Todd (Vikki) Rogers; several other nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in the Evergreen Cemetery. Steven Sparks will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 PM Tuesday.
