Vanessa Lynn Vaughn, 65, of Metropolis passed away on September 17, 2021, at her residence.
Born on March 12, 1956 to parents: Jeanette Robinson Walker and Pete Suits in Rosiclare, Illinois.
Vanessa was a free-spirited, animal loving, carefree soul who touched all that met her.
Vanessa is preceded in death by her father, Pete Suits and grandparents: Raleigh and Evelyn "Wallace" Robinson and France Suits and Emmitt and Bessie (Goodson) Littrell.
Vanessa's family includes husband, John "Richard" Vaughn; son, Brad Robinson of Harrisburg, son JP Vaughn of Louisville, daughter, Vanessa Ann Stewart of Columbia and daughter, Cassie Vaughn of Miami; mother, Jeanette "Robinson" Walker. Vanessa also leaves behind siblings, Evelyn "Calvin" Landis, Serena Long, Candace Hay, Norman Suits, Carmella Durbin and Darcie Lassiter. Vanessa also has several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and several close friends that will miss her greatly.

Graveside service will be held 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Rose Cemetery In Hardin County, Illinois. Bro. Harold Miller will conduct the service.
