On October 22,1960, in Dade City, Florida, God blessed James and Deloris Adams with twin baby boys, Clarence and Clyde. Clarence received his education from the Pasco County School System. He was a student athlete in high school sports and an original member of the Nine Devils Baseball Team. He also had a tryout for the Boston Red Sox in St. Petersburg, FL. In the month of July, 1981, Clarence was baptized into Christ under the leadership of the late Minister Ulysses Turner, Sr., at Southside Church of Christ in Houston, Texas.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents: James and Deloris Adams; daughter: Lindsay Price; brothers: Roosevelt (Sonny), Willie James and Joseph Lee Adams; grandparents: Roosevelt and Louisa Moore; grandmother: Willie Mae Marshall; and all of his aunts and uncles except one.
