Roy Lee Wilson, 71, of Niota, TN passed away peacefully at home September 16, 2021. Roy was a member of Fairview Baptist Tabernacle in Sweetwater. He retired from American General Life Ins./Home Beneficial Life Ins. where he worked in management for 40 years. He loved spending his free time playing golf with his buddies at Springbrook Golf and Country Club. Singing with the Hymnsmen Quartet was one of his greatest joys for past 21 years. He loved visiting churches and sharing God's word through music. He also enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Madison.
Roy is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Wilson; mother, Geneva Wilson; sister, Wilma Raley; brother in law, Ralph Raley; brother in law, Danny Caldwell; and step-son, Justin Gentry. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Wilson; daughter, Shannon (Ann) Wilson of Chattanooga; daughter, Kim(Kevin) Tolson of Knoxville; step-daughter, Amanda (Mickey) Walker of Parrotsville; granddaughter, Madison Julian of Knoxville; step-grandson, Caydan Gentry of Newport; nieces, Tammy Kile of Sweetwater and Penny (Randy) Humphreys of Niota; and many other family and special friends.
