A truck driver for 25 years, John also worked with the Helena-West Helena Fire Department for over 12 years. After retiring he lived the American dream, traveling the country and camping in his R.V.
John loved his friends and his community. He could always be counted on for help, no matter the circumstances. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to classic car shows.
John was survived by his son, Jason Peck of Helena; daughter, Jenny Peck of Trinity, Texas; stepson, William Stiles (Bethany) of Ohio; stepdaughter, Roxane Foster of Mississippi; five grandchildren, Luke, Liam, Scarlett, Shonna (Ross) and Abigail; three great-grandchildren, Palmer, Mac and Kitty; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 24 years, Joy Peck; and his brother, Stan Peck.
