Thomas Howard Jensen, 68, of McCook, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings, Nebraska. Tom was born on April 10, 1953, in Concordia, Kansas to Harold Delmer and Helen (Drowen) Jensen. He attended school at Salina Central High School in Salina, Kansas.
In August of 1976, Thomas married Betty Price in Salina. The couple lived for a short time in Kansas before moving to McCook, Nebraska. Tom provided for his family as a cook at many area restaurants. When not working, he enjoyed camping and fishing. Betty preceded Tom in death. He later starting dating Della Matson and the two would remain together until his passing. They spent many years in Bullhead, Arizona before moving back to McCook to be closer to family.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Helen; wife, Betty; son, Thomas Jensen Jr; stepsons, Richard, Galen, and James Fisher; brothers, Robert, Albert, Everett, and George; and sister, Shirley.
Survivors include, partner, Della Matson; son, John (Cindy) Jensen, daughters, Tamera (Gerald) Judd and Judy Green; daughter-in-law, Taneha Jensen; brothers, John and Donnie and sister, Betty.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place at the picnic shelter at Barnett Park in McCook on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 11:00 AM. Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
