He married Helen Marie (Krueger) Fuller on July 29, 1950 in Bremer, Iowa. They shared 67 years of marriage together.
Graduate of: Jesup Conservatory High School , Jesup, Iowa; Bachelor of Arts Degree from Clarke College.
In 1942 Don became an aviation cadet. In 1945 he was commissioned in the US Navy. As a pilot he flew over 30,000 hours, serving in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.
He retired as a Captain, in 1971 after 26 years of service in the US Navy. After his retirement, he went on to receive a Master of Divinity Degree from Wartburg Theological Seminary. On July 13, 1975, Don was ordained as a minister in the American Lutheran Church, serving various missions including Liberia.
Don was a resident of New Smyrna Beach. FL, at the time of his death.
He was cremated and was interred at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery on October 26, 2021.
