Peggy Janell Sunden, 86, of San Antonio, Texas, mother of four passed away in the early morning hours of Monday September 13, 2021, from dementia related complications.
Peggy Janell Franklin was born on August 1, 1935, to J.W. and Della Lea Franklin in Archer County, Texas. She lived and attended school in Holliday, Texas and was a member of the Holliday High School class of 1953.
Peggy as a housewife raised four kids. She enjoyed many hobbies and reunions all of which were related to activities enjoyed with friends and family. In her youth she loved being the "Baby Sister" and being cared for by her brother and four sisters. Throughout her life she retained a childlike nature searching for and sharing happiness with anyone willing to take the time. Her second great love was being able be a "Mother" in any capacity. In her working years always engaging her coworkers for the City of San Antonio, in service of the fans and players of the San Antonio Brewers Minor League Baseball Club and to all of the reservation agents she worked with at Southwest Airlines. Her larger-than-life personality was loved and will be missed dearly!
Peggy was preceded in death by parents J.W. and Della Franklin, brother J.R. Franklin, sisters Katherine Ward, Ruby Muhlbauer, Donna Copper and sons Randy Sunden and Richard Sunden.
Peggy is survived by sister June Tackett of Mountain Home, Arkansas, daughter Lisa Benningfield of Fredericksburg, Texas, son Russell and wife Judilynn Sunden of Brushy Creek, Texas, best and dearest friend Lynda Webb of Port Orchard, Washington, grandchildren Marlaine and husband Denny Fluery of La Vernia, Texas, Eric Sunden of Salt Lake City, Utah, Jeremiah Sunden of Dallas, Texas, John Benningfield of Austin, Texas, Shannon and husband Matthew Morgan of Hutto, Texas, Amber and husband Zack Azar of Rhode Island, great-grandchildren Dane Fluery, David Fluery, Jacob Morgan, Lawson Morgan, Isabel Sunden and Boyd Sunden.
