Christina W. Carroll, 38, of Atlanta, completed her courageous 13 year battle with ovarian cancer on Sunday, June 6, 2004.
Christina fully embraced life. She was an inspiration to all who knew her or of her. Christina, a natural beauty and talent, was crowned Miss Asheville in 1985. She graduated from the University of North Carolina-Asheville with a degree in international business. She rose through the ranks of the pharmaceutical industry to achieve the position of region business director for Ortho McNeil Pharmaceutical Inc., a division of Johnson & Johnson Corp. Her indomitable energy lead her to release her creative spirit through her jewelry design business, "Life Embraced".
She is survived by her mother, Anni Weber Wilson of Asheville, N.C., and sister, Heidi Taylor of Hermosa Beach, Calif.
The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Wages & Sons Funeral Home, Gwinnett Chapel, Lawrenceville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or those desiring may make donations to Ovarian Cancer National Alliance, 910 17th St. NW, #413, Washington, D.C. 20006.
The graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory in Asheville, N.C.
