COLUMBUS GROVE - James W. Riley, Jr., 60, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021, at his home in Columbus Grove, Ohio after an extended illness from diabetes. Jim was born on March 25, 1961, in Masontown, WV to the late James and Alma (Boyles) Riley who passed away when Jim was 4 and his sister Kim was 2. They were raised by their Uncle John and Aunt Pluma Boyles. He lived in Bristolville and attended Bristolville High School. He worked for Great Lakes Cheese until he moved to Columbus Grove. Jim's passion was fast cars and motorcycles, but due to his health he was content being at home watching TV.

James will be missed by his son, James (Teresa) Riley III of South Carolina, sisters, Kim (Terry) Skeels of Mesopotamia, Ohio, Debbie and (Greg) Gibbs, North Bloomfield, Ohio Beverly (Jim) Serbin of Champion, Ohio, Cheryl (Jim) Viezer of Girard, Ohio, April (Vern) White Champion, Ohio, a brother, John Boyles of Niles, Ohio, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and his best friend Wayne Settlemire of Columbus Grove, Ohio. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by John and Pluma Boyles, and a niece, Patricia Gibbs.

Cremation and a private service has taken place.

Local arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
