Best known as The Original Cookie Lady, her love for baking was shared for years in the community with the most precise decorating you ever did see. Anyone who tried to recreate was always told politely that they did their best, but she can just do it herself. She never met a puzzle she couldn't conquer, or a slot machine she didn't love. There was always a puzzle table in the living room that anyone who would visit would always sit down and try to find a piece. Her love for games was strong and could be found happily perched in front of the Wheel of Fortune machines at the casino with her sidekick and sister, Louise, or "sorely" losing at Kings in the Corner with her granddaughter, Emily. Even though it's been 26 years since Bob passed, the family still remembers the epic card battles between them. She fulfilled the last item on her bucket list to see those breathtaking Colorado mountains one more time and spend time with her loving sister, Carol.
Her love for her family ran deep and she was happiest when everyone was gathered together. Halloween was always the gathering place because she had the best location in town and gave out the best bags of candy. She would fill those bags months in advance. She always put the kids first especially while raising her own and her love for the neighborhood kids was strong. She literally made money grow on trees for them. She would take spare change and sprinkle it by the "money tree" in the neighborhood.
