Mary Lee Harvey, 78, of Hughes Springs passed away peacefully at her home on September 13, 2021. Ms. Harvey was born October 1, 1942 in Jefferson, Texas to Odis Murphy and Myrtle Echols Murphy. Mary was a nurse for over 45 years and loved taking care of people. But mostly, she loved her family.
She is survived by her children, Dana Swain, Kimberly Cooper, Rusty Lee Harvey; son-in-law, William Swain; grandchildren, Toni Pennington, April Rutledge, Candice Jones, Cameron Harvey, Kiera Harvey; great-grandchildren, Taylor Trailer, Raini Phillips, Dalton Phillips, Kaisten Claunch, Logan Claunch, Jackson Rutledge, Paxton Rutledge, Maddyson Cooper, Kaylee Cooper, Kaelynn Latham; great-great-great-grandson, Tripp Trailer and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Odis and Myrtle Murphy, and her siblings.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Oakwood Cemetery in Jefferson, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Hughes Springs.
Mary Lee is buried beside her sister Georgie Maxine Murphy Jackson. In the same plot with her mother and brother Raymond Lee Murphy.
