Steven Craig Stephens, 60, of Salisbury, passed away September 14, 2021, at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte.
Born March 27, 1961, in Bladen County to the late Rosa Carroll Parrish Stephens and Henry E. Stephens, Jr., he attended Tar Heel High School and was an industrial electrician.
He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Dublin and the Moose Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Henry E. Stephens III and Charles Franklin Stephens.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving partner of 15 years, Waka; and three grandchildren, Cameron, Bentley and Alex, that he has loved and cared for in his home. His is survived by three children, David Stephens and one grandchild of Salisbury, Amy Short and Phillip Short and six grandchildren of Beckley, West Virginia, and also a stepson, Bradley Sellers (Anna), that he loved and considered to be his child and one grandchild of Salisbury; and a sister, Miriam Taylor (James) of Salisbury.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 25) at Summersett Funeral Home.
