Jon Ennis Palmer Williams
May 6, 1936 - August 17, 2021
Tacoma, Washington - Jon Ennis Palmer Williams passed away August 17, 2021 at age 85 in Tacoma, WA. He was born in Tacoma to John Hughes Williams and Mathilda Florence (Hock) Williams. After graduating from Stadium High School in 1954, he joined the Air Force, and served 4 years. He used his GI Bill to attend College of Puget Sound, majoring in Physics, and graduated from University of Washington in Mechanical Engineering. He attended school while married with four children, and working full time at Boeing.
He worked at many of the marquee companies of Puget Sound, including Weyerhaeuser, McDonald Miller, Air Systems Engineering, finally retiring from Tacoma Public Utilities with 25 years service. He had his own business managing the HVAC systems on the Alaskan Pipeline in winter. Years later, he was taking CEU's in HVAC, and to his surprise, they used two of his designs (Mariner High School and Sprinker Skating Rink) to illustrate innovative HVAC systems ahead of their time.

Rainer from every approach, multiple times, as well as other peaks, competed in multiple marathons, triathlons, century bike rides, and other athletic activities. He loved to back pack and camp. He also loved to travel, especially in Latin America and Asia.
He is survived by his current spouse of 33 years Pamela Jean Palmer Williams, their children Sophia Rose (Eric Peterson), and Lillie XiMax; his children from his first marriage Michael Jon (Michele), Charles Thomas (Erin), Larry Anthony (Laurie), and Lynda Marie (Ronald Richards). He has 12 grandchildren (6 of each) and 8 great grand children. He was predeceased by his parents, and sisters Leona Frances (Joseph) Long and Jeanne Helen (Frederick) Martinsen.
Memorial Service will be held Sunday, September 19 at 2:00 at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 901 North J St, Tacoma, WA 98403. Masks are required. He will be interred at a later date at Tacoma Cemetery.
