Coshocton - Shirley Graham, age 95, of Coshocton, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. She was born in Coshocton to the late Leroy and Bertha (Shaw) Simpkins.
Shirley graduated from Coshocton High School in 1944. On October 5, 1946, she married James K. Graham who passed away on October 25, 1983. She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran church, as well as a volunteer for the American Red Cross Blood Bank for 50 years. She was a member of the Coshocton Moose Lodge 357 and volunteered at the senior center, and at the care center. Shirley enjoyed working in her yard planting flowers, collecting unique rocks, bird watching, relaxing at her cottage, using her metal detector, hunting for arrowheads, completing jigsaw puzzles, family nights playing dominos, country rides, thrift shopping, and was a member of a local Hausey Card Club for more than 50 years. Shirley also enjoyed having her monthly lunch with her classmates. Shirley is survived by her four children, David (Cindy) Graham, Daniel (Judith) Graham, Daphne (Bud) Conger, and Darlene (Dean) Croup; 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Martha Simpkins.
Along with her parents and husband James, Shirley is preceded in death by her brothers Linwood Simpkins, Dale (Martha) Simpkins, Joe (Patty) Simpkins, and Leroy (Sylvia) Simpkins, and her sisters Virginia Simpkins and Eileen (Lee) Norris; sisters-in-law Rosalind Wagner, Wilma Clark, and Helen Rowland. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 with Pastor Brian Kittner officiating. Burial will follow at Canal Lewisville Cemetery.
