William "Bill" Hunt, age 80, of Whitney, Texas passed away on September 6, 2021 peacefully at home. There will be a private graveside service for family at DFW National Cemetery.

He was born on January 1, 1941 to William D. Hunt and Juanita Lucille Hunt (Reynolds) in Wichita Falls, Texas. Bill went into the Marine Corps. In 1960 and spent 6 years serving his country. After his time in the military, he moved to Irving, Texas where he met the love of his life, Nettie, and the two were wed in October of 1972. He spent the majority of his career in retail sales for Gibson's. After his wife, Nettie, passed in 2009, Billy moved to Whitney where he lived with his son, Jason and his family. "Pop" as he was so lovingly called, spent his time fishing and enjoyed watching his granddaughters with their show goats. He was a proud Marine who loved to tell his stories of his time in the service where he served his country as a military police officer.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, William and Juanita; wife, Nettie; son, Sonny; and sister, Linda.

Bill is survived by his son, Jason and wife, Monica, of Whitney; brother, Ken Hunt and wife, Christine of Tyler; brother-in-law, Johnny Robertson of Flowermound; granddaughters, or his two little angles as he called them, Amberly and Allie; nephews, Micheal Hunt, Brian Hunt and family, and Wesley Robertson and family.
