Adina Hendry Hooks Hunter, 91, of Myakka City, FL, departed this world on Jan. 6, 2017. She was predeceased by her husbands, Belvon Hooks & Frank Hunter, as well as her son, Mike Hooks. Survivors include 2 daughters, Dale Kersey (Arthur), Myakka City, & Lynn Henry (Daryl), North Port; daughter-in-law, Beverly Bright Hall; 2 sisters, June Ness & Leah Schleicher; 6 adoring grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family & friends. During her lifetime she wore many different hats in her role as a daughter, mother, sister, cousin, aunt, grandmother, homemaker, caregiver & volunteer, always putting the needs of others before her own & never hesitating to help anyone who was in need. She was a member of Myakka City Baptist Church and attended Myakka Family worship Center. She had a faith and devotion that could not waiver and even in her darkest times, would always say, "Although I may not understand, I know the Lord has a plan for me."
