Chesley Craig Barber, 69, of Tifton, Georgia, died Monday, September 13, 2021, at his residence.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Barber was born October 21, 1951, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Pleasant Sion & Mary Ruth Richardson Barber. He graduated from Irwin County High School in 1970 and served his country honorably in the United States Army during Vietnam. Mr. Barber was a very friendly person with a big smile and a generous heart. He was very patriotic.

He is survived by his sisters: Linda & Gerald Pirkle of Sycamore and Sharon & Terry Dewberry of Marietta; a niece and nephews: Ray Ingle, Jr., Jon Ingle, Clay Pirkle, Vance Pirkle, Ben Dewberry, Dan Dewberry and Amanda Dix and many much loved great and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition, to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Pleasant Sion Barber, Jr. and a sister, Gwendolyn Ingle.
