REYNOLDSVILLE (PA) STAR, April 1, 1971

Mrs. Martha M Armagost, formerly of Reynoldsville RD3, died at 4:00 a.m. March 25, 1971 in the Grandview Nursing Home in Clarion.

Mrs. Armagost was born July 19, 1894, on Reynoldsville RD 3, the daughter of George & Mary (Deemer) Wayland. In 1920 she was married to Clair S. Armagost, who preceded her in death in 1964.

She had spent her entire life here until 1969, when she entered the nursing home. She was a member of the Moorhead Methodist Church.

Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Charlotte) Grinnen, of Lancaster, Ohio; three sons, Edgar, of Equality, Ala.; Lawrence C., of Rockton; Guy E., of DuBois; a brother Frank Wayland of Falls Creek, RD; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held March 27, at 1:30 p.m. in the Eugene F. Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Arnold Ohl officiating. Burial was in the Syphrit Cemetery near Reynoldsville.
