A native of Greenville County, South Carolina, he was the beloved son of the late Troy Bee and Mamie Bailey Cooper.
Surviving are his daughter, Amanda Cooper of Duncan; two sisters, Wanda Cooper Ferguson of Greer, and Joyce Cooper Cozzi of Greer; three nieces; four grandchildren, and long-time companion, Ed Petrics. He was predeceased by a brother, Marvin Timothy Cooper.
Stephen was a boating and fishing enthusiast and loved singing karaoke. He currently worked part-time for Barnyard Utility Buildings.
A private gathering for friends and family will be held on February 24, 2019 at the home of Wanda Cooper Ferguson from 12 to 3 pm.
