John Wiley Lambert, Jr.

On September 13, 1942, in Ury, West Virginia, Rebecca and John Lambert welcomed their first son, naming him John Wiley Lambert, Jr. Just 78 short years later, he would pass away on July 20, 2021.

How did John's life unfold to make him the man he was? He was part of a close-knit family. When he was born he joined his sister, Danielle. Later would come second son, Jerry, sister, Karen, and then brothers, Richard and Samuel. John left West Virginia, landing in the Muncie area where Danielle had already started a family. Jerry and Richard would come later. On May 29, 1969, he married Geraldine (Geri) Karen Nemski, the widowed mother of two, son, Scott (10) and daughter, Cheri (5), not only becoming a husband but taking on a father's role as well. On November 29, 1969, John was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and served as an elder in the Muncie congregation. He worked as a gauge and toolmaker at Maxon Corporation from 1967 through 1998 until he retired at age 56.

This is a time-line of life events making up John's life. However, what impacted his life the most? It was his decision to dedicate his life to Jehovah God and become baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Doing his best to live by Bible principles made him who he was. He was a better son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, friend and co-worker. Because of this, he made a good name over his life course and he will remain in God's memory until his hope in a resurrection is fulfilled.

He left behind those he dearly loved, wife, Geri; children: Scott Niemczewski (wife Sofia), Cheri Scott (husband Steve); brothers: Jerry, Richard (wife Tari) and Samuel (wife Joyce); sister, Karen Lively (husband, Wayne); grandchildren: Olivia Cursio (husband, Kyle), Caleb Scott and Darren Niemczewski (wife Holly); several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both parents; sister, Danielle Burke; and father-in-law, Joseph Nemski.

A Memorial service will be given via Zoom on Monday, August 2, 2021, at 7:00 pm.

Elm Ridge Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.elmridgefuneralhome.com.
