She was a pastor's wife and church pianist for over 50 years, learning to play the piano at around 12 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lucille New; husband of 54 years, J B Jordan; brothers, Harry New and John New; and great granddaughters, Brandlyn and Savanna Mobley. Surviving are her son, Tony Jordan (Kim) of Elijah, GA; daughters, Vickie Rey (Hal), Kathy Samples (Daniel) of Cumming; two grandchildren, Christi Mobley (Brian), Caleb Samples; great grandson, Jordan Mobley; sister, Betty Sanders (Harold); and brother, Sion Eugene New.
