Clifford Lamar Johnson, a lifelong resident of Travis County, died unexpectedly at the age of 86 on Saturday, September 4, 2021. He was born on September 20, 1934, the youngest son of Edwin L. and Gerdie Johnson.

He graduated from Austin High School in 1953. As a veteran of the U.S. Navy, he had many fond memories of his time aboard the aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Randolph. In January 1957, he married Patricia Ann Rolls and the union was blessed by a son, Stephen L. Johnson. Clifford graduated from The University of Texas with a BBA Degree. He worked for the State of Texas as an accountant until retiring from the Travis State School where he had many friends. After retiring, he spent much of his time in the antique business.

He was a lifelong member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Ann Rolls Johnson; his son, Stephen L. Johnson and a host of many friends, relatives and brethren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Emory L. Johnson and his infant son, Brian Johnson.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home located at the cemetery from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. immediately preceding the services.
