He was born on July 17, 1949 in Lowell, Massachusetts to Frank and Muriel Ross of Tyngsborough, Massachusetts.
Greg was a graduate of Lowell High School, enlisted in the Air Force in 1968 and served during the Vietnam War. He loved to make people laugh and spend time with his family and friends. He enjoyed running, cycling, shooting, singing and playing guitar but his greatest passion was preaching God's Word. Greg regularly led worship services at prison facilities including the NH State Prison, Rockingham County and Valley Street jail. He also served alongside his church family at the First Church of Merrimack to nursing home residents in the surrounding area including The Courville at Nashua, Pine Hill, Rose Haven and Bedford Hills Center. Greg was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Greg was predeceased by his father, Frank Ross and his mother, Muriel Ross. Greg leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Lois Ross, a daughter, Stephanie Twardosky and husband Ronald Twardosky, a son, Gregory Ross II and wife Meleah Ross, three grandsons Gavin and Brandon Ross and Jacob Twardosky. Three granddaughters, Ava and Cora Twardosky and Lianna Ross. Brother, Robert Ross and husband John Argos, sister Patti Stinson and husband William Stinson along with many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at the First Church of Merrimack at 10 AM on Saturday September 18, 2021 with a graveside memorial at Last Rest Cemetery immediately following.
