Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Entler Joyce, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away September 13, 2021, surrounded by her family. Visitation will be held Monday, September 20, 10:00 am, followed by Mass of Christian Burial, 11:30 am, at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, Leawood, KS. Burial following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Betty was born March 27, 1933, in Kansas City, Missouri to Frank Entler and Catherine (Katie) Burnes Entler. Betty attended St. Ann's Grade School in Independence, Missouri and graduated from Cardinal Glennon High School. After retiring from the government in 1995, Betty spent many years volunteering alongside her husband at Little Sisters of the Poor. Betty and Dick also enjoyed years of traveling and especially loved their time together on Siesta Key in Florida. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Dick Joyce, parents Frank and Katie Entler, sister Anne Draper, brother Frank Entler Jr., and sister Patty Entler. She is survived by her four children; Kathleen Lyle (Austin), Raymore, MO; Daniel Joyce (Hyu Kyong), Overland Park, KS; Carol Barnes (Ron), Peculiar, MO; and Mary Hedrick (Steve), Overland Park, KS. Ten grandchildren; Mike Lyle (Kristen), Brendan Lyle (Sarah), and Elizabeth Jones (Ryne); Catherine Skidmore (Tyler), Christopher and Thomas Joyce; Ryan Barnes (Megan), Neil Barnes (Lexi), and Emily Craig (Jacob); and Mitchell Hedrick (Alison). Eleven great-grandchildren; Kimberley and Kortney Lyle, Aurora and Clara Lyle, Gemma Jones; Nathan and Kelsey Barnes, Brynn and Kayden Barnes, Rhett Craig; Lane Hedrick; sister-in-law Bonnie Joyce, Marietta, OH, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends. The family is forever grateful for the team from Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care for their compassionate support. They would also like to express their immense gratitude for the constant guidance of Dr. Gerald Mancuso and Dr. David Burkart who provided Betty with the best of care over these past years.
