Timothy Jason Sims was born July 27, 1987 and departed this life September 11, 2021, at the age of 34. He died unexpectedly at his home at the Timber Hills Independent Living Complex in Iuka MS. T. J. was the son of the late Lewis S. Sims and Larraine Shappley Sims.

T. J. is survived by two older brothers: Stevie Sims Ripley, MS and Shawn Sims, Chattanooga, TN.; two aunts Myra Shelly, Nashville, TN and Kathy Shappley, Ripley, MS and a dear friend Mary Jane Sanders, Iuka, MS.

T. J. was a quiet, humble individual who enjoyed listening to music, watching TV, and fishing. He looked forward each week to visiting and dining out with his Aunt Kathy. T. J. will be missed by the ones who loved him.

A special thanks to the Region IV Mental Health PACT Team who served T. J. over the past year.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Tiplersville, MS cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 17.
