Clarence S. "Poopsy" Wilson, 63, of Pottsville, passed away Monday, Sept. 13, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown.
Born March 2, 1958, in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Henry C. and Martha V. (Troup) Wilson.
Poopsy was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School, Class of 1977.
He worked for Phillips Van Heusen, Pottsville, until retiring.
Poopsy was a lifelong avid billiards player, an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia 76ers and the family prankster and storyteller.
Poopsy is survived by his longtime companion of 47 years, Bev Houtz; sisters, Margaret Wilson, Sandra Wilson (Jan) and Mary Jane Wilson; brothers, Dennis Troup, Robert Wilson (Jayne) and Richard Wilson (Eva); his special niece, Marie Wilson; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, Port Carbon, with James Fryer officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.
