Obituary for Janet L. Robbins
Janet Robbins, 74, of Oskaloosa, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021, at Crystal Heights Care Center in Oskaloosa.

Janet Linda Robbins, daughter of Richard Carl and Ruth Janet (Staman) Robbins, was born January 16, 1947, in LaJunta, Colorado. The family lived in Manzanola, CO, and then moved to Rocky Ford, CO, until moving to Oskaloosa in 1955. Janet attended Oskaloosa schools, then studied music at Drake University, and further studied at the University of Minnesota. After completing her education, Janet returned to Oskaloosa. She taught English as a Second Language for many years through Indian Hill Community College and received the Governor's Award for Outstanding ESL Instructor. Her love of music remained throughout her life, and she played with the Central College Youth Symphony. Janet was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Janet's family includes a sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Dan Arizumi of Littleton, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Janet will be interred at Forest Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Langkamp Funeral Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with Janet's arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to The First Presbyterian Church.
