He was born May 13, 1922, in Cassville, the son of John William and Anna (Stansbury) Robbins. On June 15, 1946, he was united in marriage to Louise Allcock who preceded him in death on September 22, 1985. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Janie Marie Robbins; one sister and four brothers.
He is survived by three daughters, Kathy Lansdown of Exeter, Donna Renkoski and her husband, Peter of Pioneer, Missouri and Debbie Brown and her husband, Keith of Wheaton, Missouri; one sister, Louise Brooks; four grandchildren, Sonya Hayward and her husband, Gary, Lorie Speakman and her husband, Todd, Christy Bray and her husband, Randall and Jessica Walker and her husband, Tommy; six great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Ray received his education in the Pasley School District. In November 1942 he enlisted in the United States Army and served until March 1946. He was employed by the Missouri State Highway Department and a lifelong resident of the Cassville area. Ray was a St. Louis Cardinal fan and loved playing pitch, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 3, 2007, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Reverend Bob Neeley will conduct the services. Burial with military honors will be in Corinth Cemetery, Cassville.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
