Saudi royal. His full name was Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman bin Faisal bin Turki bin Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Saud. He was a Saudi Arabian politician who ruled as King of Saudi Arabia from 9 November 1953 to 2 November 1964 after his fathers, Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud, death in 1953. His inability to control the nations debt brought about a power struggle with his half-brother Faisal, climaxing in a forced abdication of the throne by King Saud and having to proclaim Faisal king. He went into exil and attempted to retake the throne with help from some of his sons, but the attempt failed. He never returned to Saudi Arabia but ended up in Athens, Greece where he died in 1969.
