Antonio began his journey on April 25, 1946, to parents Juan De La Torre and BelenLopez. Born in San Juan De Los Lagos, Jalisco, Antonio was a brother to German, Nicolas, Miguel, Jose, Maria, Mariana, and Delgadina.

Antonio became a husband to the love of his life, Maria, in January 1978.

Soon after marriage, Luis, Victor, George, Anabell, Juan, and Lucia grew up in Los Angeles, California, where they settled and started their life.

Antonio had a bubbly, friendly and curious personality. In his younger years, he was a big fan of the Atlanta Braves, the San Francisco 49ers, and Las Chivas.

Antonio worked in different fields throughout his life, from landscaping, janitorial, construction and as a supermarket stocker.

Antonio had a heart complication that required an intense surgery. He had a full recovery, and you could never tell that he had heart complications.

Antonio was a grandparent to Santiago, George, Daniel, Jasmine, Wyatt, Nadia, and Camila.

Antonio always had a positive outlook on life and he always had the Bible in hand. He was fearless and fought any new challenges presented to him in life.Once he got involved in church in his mature age, he was devoted. He spent most of his evening reading and learning about the Bible. You could always catch him on Saturday mornings in church praising the Lord.

Antonio was loved by many and taken for granted by some. Fellow church members or brothers, which is how they addressed themselves at church, would always swing by his home to make sure he was a part of Saturday church service. Antonio would travel with the church to different states to meet and get to know new members. He would always make people laugh and at the same time question why they hadn't met before.

Antonio would make conversations with anyone even if language was a barrier. He had a famous line to strike up a conversation, "What's a matta with you?" Yes, just how it sounds. This was his famous line and if you personally knew Antonio, you'll forever carry that line with you. He had a unique way to approach new people and was definitely worth keeping around in their lives.

When Antonio would go to his doctor's appointments, you could always hear the medical staff giggling because of Antonio's contagious sense of humor and comical facial expressions.

Antonio was called home on September 8th, 2021. The good Lord saw that Antonio's purpose in life was served. His Guardian Angels must have been distracted as Antonio left too soon. There is nothing that will ever fill the void that was left in our hearts. However, he will always have a place in all of our thoughts, prayers, memories, and conversations. We will try not to grieve over him as we know he is free. He took the Lord's hand gracefully when he was called home. There were a lot more memories to create with Antonio, but the Lord wanted to create them with him now. Until we meet again, Don Toño, fly high. LopezLopez.

His family will receive friends at the Castillo Funeral Home, 1757 Tremainville Rd., on Friday from 3 – 8 PM where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 AM, followed by interment at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
