Sandra Dunlap Morgan passed away quietly in her sleep on September 2, 2021 at her home, which was her most fervent wish, with her loving and devoted husband, John, at her side.

Sandra was born July 29, 1943 in Lexington, Kentucky. Her father was in the Army and she lived in Okinawa, as well as other military bases in the U.S. Sandra volunteered at school, assisting the nuns, during her children's elementary years. She also volunteered several days a week at the VA hospital in Fayetteville, NC. Sandra became an avid golfer once her children were in their teen years. She was often the official driver for her golfing buddies to the many leagues and tournaments they played in. She worked in the Pro Shop at Falling Creek Golf Course for close to 30 years, making many friends, and influencing the lives of the young kids that would help her with various chores, knowing they would be treated to a free meal or a golf cart at no charge. During her golfing career, Sandra had eight hole-in-one's, which were witnessed by her family and friends.

Sandra and John were fortunate to travel and experience many wonderful and exciting adventures with seeing the Vatican and attending Mass by the Pope as one of her favorite memories.

Sandra was predeceased by her father, Edward Dunlap and her mother, Yvette Dunlap.

She leaves behind her husband and childhood sweetheart of 61 years, John Howard. Her three children, John Morgan II of Kinston, Nelson Morgan of Morganton, NC, and Melissa Enzor and her husband, Harris, of Snow Hill, NC. She also leaves behind her loving dog, Lucy. Her brother, David Dunlap and wife, Barbara, of Jacksonville, FL, her sister, Clara Miller of Bristol, VA, and nephew, Edward Huggins, of Bristol, VA. Her two grandchildren, Justin Kyle Morgan of La Grange, NC and Jordan Isaia Morgan of Morganton, NC.

There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston, NC.
