Elizabeth "Marie" Farmer, age 93, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Cumberland Nursing and Rehab.
Marie was born on July 27, 1928 in Viper, KY to the late Oakley Montgomery and Lula Campbell Montgomery. She was a bookkeeper for G.E. Glass Plant in Somerset. Marie was a member of East Somerset Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling, playing Bridge and crocheting.
She is survived by a daughter, Denise (and Frankie) Dykes; four sisters, Marian Hughes, Mabel Leytze, Mae Kirschner and Joan Boothby; one step granddaughter, Angie (and Steve) Slone; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cressel Farmer; two brothers, David Montgomery and Don Montgomery; and one sister, Joyce Barrett.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will follow on Friday at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Hall officiating. Burial will be at Goodwater Cemetery.
