Shawn Cox, 9, died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Lake End Park in Morgan City.
He was a resident and a native of Berwick.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Cox Jr. of Berwick; four brothers.
Palmer Cox of Denver, Colo., Palmer Cox IV of Berwick, Paul Anthony Cox of Berlin, Germany and Michael Johnson of Baton Rouge; and a host of other relatives.
Visitation will be held 5 p.m.-8 p.m. today at St. John Baptist Church in Berwick.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. today at St. John Baptist Church.
He will be buried at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Buckner-Jones Funeral Home of Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.
