Bobby Hope Thompson was born December 6, 1930, to Anna Elizabeth and Edna Lightle Thompson in Depew, Oklahoma. He departed this life September 10, 2021, at the age of 90 years.

Bob was a graduate of Drumright High School. Bob Thompson and Berniece Cannon were married January 21, 1952 in Bristow, Oklahoma. Choosing Bristow as their home the two became lifelong residents. Bob, a patriotic man served his country honorably and faithfully in the United States Army from 1952-1954. He attended Okmulgee Tech where he studied electrical maintenance. Upon completion of his studies Bob went to work at East Central Electric Company as a lineman working 42years providing for his family until his retirement. Upon retirement Bob began a business, Bob Thompson Electric, doing electrical Maintenance and contracting; a business that is still active today. Bob was an active member of the community serving on the Bristow City Council as well as the Board of Directors for the Bristow Housing Authority. He served many years as the Boy Scout Master for the Bristow troop 271 which later became troop 571 and was a lifetime member of the ELKS Lodge. Bob's time away was most generally outdoors as he loved to fish and quail hunt. He loved his family dearly and his grandchildren could always bring a smile. Bob was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bristow. He served his Lord faithfully.

Bob is survived by his two Children, Cathy Whitney and Husband Dwight of Claremore and Mike Thompson and wife Ann of Bristow; eight grandchildren, Amanda Sedov, Elizabeth Krenz, Megan Davison, Michael Thompson, Blake Jones, Brittny Gore, Brandy Porter and Andrew Whitney; fifteen great-grandchildren, Samuel Sedov, Charlotte Krenz, Chassie Krenz, Cannon Krenz, Corgan Davison, Merrin Davison, Aubrey Jones, Tanner Jones, Andi Gore, Isabell Piccolo, Katelynn Piccolo, Alexis Porter, Celest Porter, Zion Whitney and Indie Whitney;

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife, Berniece and one brother Francis Thompson.

Graveside services will be held 10:00am, Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Bristow City Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers family has requested donations be made to Bristow Boy Scout Troop 571. -
