Chris graduated High School in 1988 in Norman, Oklahoma. He then served in the U.S. Navy from 1988-1994. Chris drove a concrete truck then moved into over the road trucking. He was a Jack-Of-All-Trades, loved to off road in his Jeep, quad and bike. Chris enjoyed guns, reloading, fishing, woodworking, making cabinets and thought about leaving the trucking business to do woodworking. He loved his family and friends, but was a hardheaded person. Chris was a big guy and everything he did was big. He particularly enjoyed spending time on his property. He made it a mission to hand out backpacks to homeless veterans and first responders. His next mission was to take his fuel points to purchase toys and deliver them to Riley Hospital for Children.
He is survived by his wife, Turena Cox whom he married October 5, 2017; daughter, Kelcy Winter; siblings, Sherrell (Steve) Taylor, Victoria (Rick) Bowers, Linda (Larry) Cheatham, JR (Julie) Cox, Michael (Kennette) Cox; and many nieces, nephews and cousins along with numerous close friends.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Levi Arthur Cox, Sr. and Beverly Jo (Alexander) Higginbottom and grandparents, Levi and Viola Cox.
