Larry Furman Turner, 66, of Hendersonville, passed away on September 11, 2021 at his residence.

A native of Pickens County, SC, he was a son of the late Furman and Rosie Dunn Turner. Larry was also preceded in death by a son, Robert F. Turner; a daughter, Tina Turner; a grandson, Gavin Ballinger and a brother, David Turner.

Larry was a proud veteran of the US Army and was employed at UPM Raflatac.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda Sanders Turner; three daughters, Melissa Turner Posey (Brian), Angela Turner Ballinger (Billy) and Kimberly Turner Rudder; six grandchildren, Danielle Volcanes, Jackie McCuskey, Kylie Posey, Chasity Turner, Kayden Rudder and Abigayle Rudder; four great-grandchildren, Lucius Volcanes, Seage Jr. McCuskey, Aria McCuskey and Timmy Burgett and two sisters, Kathy Morgan and Patricia Young.

A Funeral Service for Larry will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 17 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church with burial and military honors to follow in the church cemetery. His family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday evening at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian and then again from 2:00-3:00 PM on Friday at Chapel Hill Baptist Church.
