Michael served in the US Air Force as an MP during the Vietnam War. He later was employed as a cement mason and worked on projects including the World Trade Centers and the Olympic Ski Jump in Lake Placid. He was a member of the American Legion. He was an avid Yankees and NY Giants fan.
He is survived by his children and their spouses; Michael and Raechelle Archer, Jr.. Arielle Archer, his siblings and their spouses; Phyllis and John Hickey , James and Margaret Archer Jr., Robert and Pamela Archer, Louella and William D'Addio, Gilbert and Kathy Archer, his grandchildren; Gregory Archer, Kiana Archer, Alexander Archer, Skylar Archer, McKenzie Archer, Payton Archer, several nieces and nephews, Jessie Evans and her child and grandson whom he thought of as family, and his former spouse Iris Archer..
He was predeceased by his companion Patricia Evans.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be offered to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
