Phyllis Nadine Moore

Aug. 6, 1933 – June 20, 2021

Phyllis Nadine Moore was born Aug. 6, 1933 in Duluth, Minn., and went home to be with the Lord June 20.

Phyllis loved playing the piano and blessing others with her music. It was when she was playing piano for the First Baptist Church in Riverside, Calif., that she met her one and only, James R. Moore. They were married on April 6, 1956 and had 65 wonderful years together. They lived in Riverside for 25 years and raised three children there. Phyllis continued to minister through her piano playing at Grace Baptist Church in Riverside for 20 years. In 1979 Phyllis and Jim moved to Placerville and she became the pianist for the First Baptist Church in Placerville. She later played at the Camino Community Church where she continued to bless others with her beautiful piano playing.

She never met a stranger. Her friendliness and laughter would draw people in and before you knew it, you were one of her best friends. She loved having people over to her house to share a meal or dessert and of course lots of laughter.

Phyllis is survived by her husband of 65 years, James R. Moore, along with her three children, Cindy (Steve) Robitaille, Jim (Pam) Moore and Julie (Greg) Wentz. She also leaves behind four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is in heaven with the Lord and celebrating with those who have gone before her.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, please feel free to send donations to Snowline Hospice or a charity of your choice, as Phyllis loved to give to others.
