Betty Jo (Hendrix) McLemore was born on May 30, 1937 in Fort Cobb, OK to RG and Alta Hendrix. She passed away on September 9, 2021 in Chickasha, OK at the age of 84. Betty was one of a kind. Her laughter was contagious. She was 16 years old when she met the love of her life and married Wilford McLemore on December 12, 1953 in Gracemont, OK. They were married for 67 wonderful years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and was the church secretary for 25 years. She loved to sing in church and had a special relationship with the Lord and with anyone she came in contact with. She loved family and fellowship. She spoiled her grandchildren with her special pancakes. Betty and Wilford owned and operated McLemore Western Wear in the late 70's. She also worked for the election board for 20 years. She had many wonderful friends and memories rodeoing with family and she loved running ribbons for Wilford.
Survivors Include: her husband, Wilford McLemore of Gracemont, OK, her children, Rick McLemore and wife Connie and their daughter in law, Shaunya McLemore, Brenda Allen and husband Ricky all of Gracemont, OK, her brother, Glenn Hendrix and wife Lawana of Duncan, OK, her grandchildren, Shane McLemore, Brandon McLemore, Brooke McLemore, Brock McLemore, Tanner Allen, Taylor Martin, Kayli Allen, Cassidy McLemore, and Kenna McLemore, numerous great grandchildren. nieces, nephews, many other relatives, and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, RG and Alta Hendrix, her son, Randy McLemore, her brother, J.W. Hendrix.
