John "Doo" Calvin Doolittle passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the age of 87. He was a beloved husband to Janice Mountain Doolittle and loving father to Christy Brokmeier and Calvin Doolittle. He is survived by two grandchildren, Rachel Ransom (Loren) and Lisa Doolittle, and one great-grandchild, Braddock Ransom. John graduated from Hillsborough High School, Class of 1950. Following graduation, he attended the University of Florida and then served in the United States Naval Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He married his high school sweetheart, Janice. They celebrated 65 years of marriage in 2018. He went on to devote his professional career to IBM where he was a Branch Manager. John was a strong and proud gentleman, holding the highest integrity in business and in family life. He loved tennis, golf and Florida Gator sports and he shared his passion for sports with his grandchildren. He has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be tremendously missed.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend John's funeral at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, Florida, on Thursday, September 19, 2019. Visitation will be from 3:00-4:00pm with service to follow in the funeral home chapel conducted by Loren Theodore Ransom.
